Poster Abstract Submission Guidelines

We are now inviting abstract submissions for poster presentations at the Sports Medicine Conference 2025 (SMC25), taking place at Emirates Stadium, London. All abstracts will be reviewed by the SMC25 Scientific Committee. Authors of accepted abstracts will present their work in poster format during the conference.

Submission Categories

Authors are invited to submit abstracts within the following hot topics in Sports Medicine:

Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation & Return to Performance
Performance Nutrition
Performance & Recovery
Team Medicine & Interdisciplinary Practice
Performance Psychology
Female Athlete Health
Imaging

Abstracts outside these categories will still be considered if they demonstrate clear relevance to sports medicine and/or physiotherapy.

Submission Requirements

Maximum Word Count: 1000 words (excluding title, authors, affiliations)

Language: English only

File Format: Word document (.doc or .docx), or PDF

Poster Presentation Guidelines

Full details on poster dimensions and display logistics will be provided with acceptance notifications.
At least one author per accepted abstract must register for SMC25 and be present at the event.
Acceptance of an abstract does not include free registration. All presenters are required to pay the applicable conference registration fee.

Additional Conditions

Abstract Limit Per Author: Each presenting author may submit up to two abstracts.
Revisions Policy: Edits to abstracts can be made up until the submission deadline. No changes will be accepted after this date.
Ethical Approval: Required for all research involving human or animal subjects. A brief ethics statement must be included in the submission.
Conflicts of Interest: Any potential conflicts must be declared during submission.
Publication Permission: By submitting an abstract, authors grant SMC25 permission to publish it in the official programme and related conference materials.
Withdrawal Policy: Abstracts can be withdrawn up until 28^th August by notifying the conference team in writing.
